Corrections
Corrections and updates
When we get something wrong we fix it, say so, and leave a record here. Corrections are never quietly edited away.
How we handle corrections
If a reader reports an error we check it against the sources. If we got it wrong we correct the article immediately, add a visible “Updated” line with the date of the revision, and record the change below with enough detail that the original error is still legible.
Corrections are never used to remove criticism or to change the substance of an argument. A factual fix that does not alter the conclusion is a correction; a substantive change is labelled as an update, and both are recorded.
To report an error, use the contact page and include the article URL and the passage in question.
Correction log
No corrections have been issued. This log is empty because nothing we have published has required one yet. If that changes, the entry will appear here with the date, the article and the nature of the fix.
