Legal

Privacy policy

Anikaay is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts, carries no advertising technology and has no user accounts. That makes this policy unusually short.

What this site collects

Nothing, by design.

The cookie policy sets out exactly which cookies and local storage this site uses, including what changes when advertising is enabled.

  • No cookies. We set none, and the site works fully without them.
  • No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom or similar script. We do not track which pages you read or where you came from.
  • No advertising technology. The site reserves layout space for advertising but loads none. No ad network, no retargeting pixel, no interest-based advertising.
  • No accounts, no login, no newsletter list.

What our host records

Whoever serves this site keeps ordinary web server logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security and to keep the service running. Those logs are the hosting provider's to manage under its own policy, and we do not use them to build a profile of any reader. We do not have access to individual visitor data and do not ask for it.

Local storage

If you use the light/dark theme switch, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it. Nothing else uses storage.

Search

Site search runs entirely in your browser against a static index of article titles and excerpts. What you type is not transmitted to us or to any third party.

If you email us

If you contact us we keep your message and address so we can reply and keep a record of the exchange. We use it for that purpose only. We do not add correspondents to a marketing list, and we do not sell or share contact details.

Children

This site is written for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because we hold almost none, in practice this usually means asking us to delete the email correspondence with you, which we will do on request.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date below. If we ever add analytics or advertising, this page will say so before it happens, not afterwards.

Needs review before launch

Two items are not settled. First, the legal entity responsible for this site has not been designated, so this policy cannot name a data controller. Second, advertising and newsletter signup are currently disabled; if either is switched on, this policy must be rewritten before that happens, because the current text would no longer describe the site. This policy should also be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before the site relies on it for compliance.
